The Nineteens are a high-energy mix of surf, ska, rockabilly, and punk rock ‘n’ roll, with a sound that's as gritty as it is infectious. Formed in 2020, the band quickly became a staple of the Bay Area's live music scene. The Nineteens' current members are Minke Binnerts (lead vocals), John Literacki (guitar and vocals), Tom Connelly (bass and vocals), and Rick Kennan (drums).

The Nineteens' musical journey took off with the release of their debut full-length album Stop Stealing Dogs in 2022, followed by Thanks a Bunch in 2023 and we are the Nineteens in 2025. These records showcase the band's dynamic mix of 1970s punk rock, 1980s ska, and rockabilly influences, while paying homage to their heroes like The Clash, The Pretenders, Elvis Costello, and Siouxsie and the Banshees.
